EDUCATION- COUNTRYSIDE AND ENVIRONMENT

We run educational visits on the farm and have had more than 400 visits in the past ten years of our Stewardship.
Currently we  work along side Bowland High School to deliver a BTEC level 2 Countryside and Environment. We have been doing this for a few years, and 15 Year 10 /11 students take part in this two year course and visit the farm one afternoon a week to learn about and undertake a wide variety of jobs.Topics covered include animal health and welfare, animal husbandry, estate maintenance and boundaries, introduction to practical forestry  and habitat maintenance.
